Short backstory: In 2007 I was a Philadelphia Music Award nominee for DJ of the Year. To commemorate the nomination, I made a mixtape featuring music from as many of the artists nominated as possible and had Philadelphia Hip-Hop icon Larry Larr host the project. The mixtape features some music you will probably only find here, such as Elliott Ness' originally planned follow up single to "My Hood", lost singles from Young Chris, Gillie Da Kid, Omillio Sparks, interludes from comedians Michael Blackson and Denny Live, as well as some classic Old School Philly favorites by Tuff Crew, Schoolly D, Jakk Frost and more. It's one of my favorite projects and is being released online for the first time. I hope you all enjoy!
